A 13-year-old boy has been badly injured after he was knocked off of his bicycle by a vehicle on Corlett drive in Witpoortjie on the evening of 30 October.
Just before 7pm paramedics were called to the scene were the teenager had been knocked down.
The Advanced Life Support paramedic had to take over the young boy’s care as he had suffered what appeared to be a critical head injury. The boy was hardly conscious and paramedics placed him on life support.
In a critical condition, paramedics transported him to Leratong hospital by ambulance where he will undergo further care.
It is not yet clear as to what exactly took place and as to which party was at fault in the cause of the collision, but local authorities will be in charge of conducting all necessary investigations.
