The jeweller of Bethal, Francois Pretorius (45), was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment by the Mpumalanga High Court in Delmas on Friday, October 28 for the double murder of Dr Hannes Beukes and his wife, Ibel.
Pretorius murdered the couple inside the house he was renting at the time on a farm outside of Bethal.
The Beukes couple’s bodies were found on March 18 2020 in the boot of their vehicle at Bethal Dam.
Pretorius pleaded guilty on two counts of murder.
