Maria Consolata hosts Women’s Day event

“Women should know their worth and not depend on lifestyles that are beyond their affordability.

eMBALENHLEMaria Consolata Roman Catholic Church hosted its Mother and Daughter High Tea in commemoration of Women’s Day.

The event was held on Saturday, 13 August and was well attended by women from different spheres of life.

Ms Tshepilwe (Royal Tee) Thulo was a guest speaker and she encouraged women to know their worth and to not depend on lifestyles that are beyond their affordability.

Ms Maria Mokoena shared issues that affect women’s health.

She urged women to take care of themselves.

“You are your own best mother.

“Give yourself things that you would love to receive from your mother,” said Ms Mokoena, who further encouraged women to do something pleasurable like laughing out loud, dancing and singing.

She said women should have friends who lift them up, not friends who gossip about others.

Women were reminded that they also need some time for themselves and to rest when they are tired.
