An accident near Bloemfontein on 6 July claimed the lives of 10 family members from Standerton.
Ms Magriet Vries, one of the
deceased, worked at a local clothing store for many years.
According to a family member the family attended a birthday party on the weekend and was returning to Standerton.
Altogether 14 people were travelling in the bakkie when tragedy struck on the N1 highway.
The bakkie seemingly
collided with two oncoming
trucks and split in half, leaving carnage on the road.
Ten family members died
on the scene and four others were
seriously injured.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened.
The funeral will take place on Saturday 19 July at 7am,
for family members only.
After the funeral their will be a mass gathering at the Standerton Show Grounds for family and friends.
