PAC elects new leadership

PAC is concerned about the state of the roads in Sakhile

The Pan African Congress (PAC) elected its executive members in Sakhile on 7 June.

According the PAC’s chairman, Mr Tebogo Monaheng, the newly elected members will fight against corruption, poverty, poor service delivery and cadre deployment.

Members of the political party also discussed the recently revealed Lekwa budget.

“The budget did not address the issues that the community is currently facing, for example Ext 7 does not have water and Ward 1 is still experiencing power cuts,” Mr Sipho Gumede, councillor, said.

“They also did not mention their failure on the previous budget and what they will do to improve on it.

“The roads in Sakhile are in a bad condition and the budget speech only mentioned refurbishing major roads,” Mr Gumede also said.

The outstanding Eskom and the Department of Water Affairs accounts remain a concern for the organisation.
