Cross country runners compete at Secunda Stadium

Young and older athletes show their endurance.

Cross country runners took part in a cross country league at Secunda Stadium on Saturday, July 23

Juné van Wyk of Laerskool Secunda won the category for GU/12 while Micheala Hoblark of Laerskool Goedehoop finished second.

In the category for BU/12 Litha Sonjika of TP Stratten Primary School was the fastest runner while Thwareko Buthelezi, also of TP Stratten Primary School finished second and Lindokuhle Mashijane, also of TP Stratten Primary School finished third.

Reuel Jefferies won the category for BU/13 while Thokozane Mbheke finished second and Siwakhile Dlamini of TP Stratten Primary School third.

Zanele Nyilongo won the category for GU/13.

Wegé Viljoen won the category for BU/15 while Christiaan Jonker finished second and Prince Nkosi of Evander High School third.

Elsje Jefferies won the category for GU/15 and Zethu Nyembe of Hoërskool Oosterland finished second.

Mnisi Asanda Celeste won the category for GU/16, while Mart-Mari Lourens finished second and Olwethu Memela of Hoërskool Oosterland finished third.

Liane Parkes of Hoërskool Secunda won the category for GU/17, while Tiholo Molise of Hoërskool Oosterland finished second.

Samkelo Sekholo was the winner in the category for junior men, while Xolani Mahlangu finished second and Thokozane Nkongwane third.

Sanele Skhosana won the category for men of 20 to 23 years old.

Lebohang Matima won the category for senior men (24 to 34 years old) while Nhlannhla Mabuza finished second and Tshiamo Lephoto third.

Macaleni Mahlangu won the category for men of 35 to 39 years, while Pienaar Jansen van Rensburg finished second and Jean-Paul Henin third.

Rex Jefferies won the category for men of 40 to 44 years old.

Simon Sibisi won the category for men of 45 to 49 years old and Zimosa Ntare finished second.

Eima Maloza won the category for men of 50 to 54 years old,while Abednego Shongwe finished second and Ezekiel Kgopodimetse finished third.

Kobus Roets won the category for men of 55 to 59 years old.

Zandile Cossa won the category for women of 20 to 23 years old while Beauty Mlangeni finished second and Sitembiso Zamelo third.

Tania Rheeder won the category for women of 24 to 34 years old.

Luleka Khumalo won the category for women of 35 to 39 years old.

Eulicia Jefferies won the category for women of 45 to 49 years old.

Marthi Harmse won the category for women of 55 to 59 years old.
