Emba beats Standerton with four wickets

In the T20 Premier-match of the Gert Sibande District on Sunday, October 17, Emba beat Standerton CC1 by four wickets.

Emba won the toss and send Standerton in to bat first at the Piet van den Berg-oval at 9:00.

The scoreboard showed Standerton put on 120/8 after 20 overs. Emba scored 122/6 after 19,5 overs,

Henré Naudé of the home team scored 32 runs from 23 balls, Craig Young 18 runs from 22 balls and Jacques Smith 12 runs from 21 balls.

In Emba’s bowling attack, Mohamed Ebrahim took three wickets, conceding 17 runs, Sandiso Mbula two wickets, conceding 25 runs and Akulile Mkatu one wicket, conceding 10 runs.

Their top batsmen were Andrew Dauquelo with 40 (38), Jonathan Madonsela with 23 (24) and Johan Molefe with 17 (23).

Standerton’s bowling attack of Werner Mouton’s 4/25, Elpee Jordaan’s 2/22 and Henré Naudé’s 0/7 made some inroads.
