Hankook Extreme 4×4 Challenge in Ermelo attracts motor fanatics

Andries van Zyl won the Locker class, with Johan Bekker second and Sean Nienaber third.

Ermelo EXE Motorsport hosted the Hankook Extreme 4×4 Challenge at the EXE track on 7 March.

The competition kicked off at 8.45am with a total of 41 drivers competing in five different classes.

Spectators stood around and watched as the drivers tested their skills in the various obstacle courses that were set up for the day.

Willie Bester obtained a first place in the Top Truck Class with 493.45 points and Andries Gower came second with 433.82 points followed by Jacques Swart in the third place with 400 points.

In the Modified Class, Mark van der End took first place with 369.67 points and Barrie Drenth came second with 339.10 points.

The winner in the Pro-locker Class was Johan van Wyk with 451.81 points and André van Niekerk was second with 238.88 points.

Andries van Zyl won the Locker Class, with Johan Bekker second and Sean Nienaber third.

Marius Botes took first place of the 17 competing drivers in the Standard class with 553 points. Deon Scheepers came second with 545 points and Piet Kruger with 520 points came in third place.
