Amazulu beats Barcelona in final of the Goldi Soccer Tournament

Sibonelo ‘Suarez’ Mathebela took credit for the winning goal, although on the receiving end of two yellow cards, culminating in a red card.

The final of the Goldi Soccer Tournament was played at the Sakhile Stadium on Sunday, 9 June at 2pm with Amazulu FC claiming victory.

They beat Barcelona FC 3-2 with the winning goal scored in extra time.

“It was a fantastic match with a good atmosphere,” Mr George Nyembe, organiser, said.

Sibonelo ‘Suarez’ Mathebela took credit for the winning goal, although on the receiving end of two yellow cards, culminating in a red card.

Njabulo Mathabela was announced as the top scorer of the tournament with a total of five goals.

Mr Nyembe thanked Goldi for the opportunity to play and their support despite challenges the company faces.
