Koketjo Gumbo is the overall winner of the PWC Kosmos 3-in-1 marathon in Secunda

Jabulani Maabane finished second with a time of 4:53,33 and Tshepo Shubane finished third with a time of 4:55,59.

SECUNDA – Koketjo Gumbo is the overall winner of the PWC Kosmos 3-in-1 marathon in Secunda on Saturday, 9 March.

He completed all three races (42.2km, 21.1km and 10km) in 4:46,21.

Jabulani Maabane finished second with a time of 4:53,33 and Tshepo Shubane finished third with a time of 4:55,59.

Vusi Nhlabatsi was the first woman in the overall section with a time of 6:03,50 while Otilia Nhapimbe finished second with a time of 6:23,28 and Elrita Schutze finished third with a time of 6:25,47.

Gumbo was also the first man to cross the finish line in the 42.2km race with a time of 2:37,24 while Maabane finished second again with a time of 2:40,22 and Mthetheleli Zwane finished third with a time of 2:47,24.

Ranata Vosloo was the first woman to cross the finish line in the 42.2km race with a time of 2:53,42 while Melinda Janse van Vuuren finished second with a time of 2:54,9 and Melissa Janse van Vuuren finished third with a time of 3:4,48.

In the 21.1km race, Tebogo Pulusa was the first man to cross the finish line with a time of 1:8,58 while Graham Malinga finished second with a time of 1:11,34 and Mpho Mokoena finished third with a time of 1:11,56.

Glenrose Xaba won the 21.1km race among the women with a time of 1:19,49, while Lesego Hlako finished second with a time of 1:32,20 and Winile Mnisi finished third with a time of 1:34,18.

Sibusiso Kubheka won the 10km race with a time of 31 min 13 sec, while Moses Mahlangu finished second with a time of 31 min 29 sec, and Tebogo Pulusa finished third with a time of 32 min 53 sec.

Makhosi Mhlongo was the first woman in the 10km race to cross the finish line with a time of 37 min 28 sec, while Sebenele Shabalala finished second with a time of 42 min 34 sec, and Mnisi finished third again with a time of 44 min 23 sec.

Altogether 8 306 runners entered all three races of the Kosmos 3-in-1 and 6 957 of those runners completed all three races.

In the 42.2km 2 558 runners took off at the beginning point at Lake Umuzi, and 2 209 of those runners completed the race.

In the 21.1km race, 2 733 runners lined up at the beginning point and 2 281 runners completed the race.

In the 10km race, 3 015 runner lined up at the beginning point and 2 467 runners completed the race.
