Athletes prepare for Kosmos 3-in-1 in Secunda

Colin Louw takes his chance in the pre-race of the PWC Kosmos 3-in-1

SECUNDA – Colin Louw was the overall winner in the pre-race of the PWC Kosmos 3-in-1 on Saturday, 2 March.

Secunda Marathon Club organised the pre-race to give their athletes the chance to also run the race because they will be working on Saturday, 9 March.

Louw’s time in the 42.2km run was 3:24,40 in the 21.1km his time was 1:41,25 and in the 10km race his time was 41 min 16 sec.

Carole Wolfaardt was the overall winner among the women.

Her time in the 42.2km race was 4:28,15, in the 21.1km race was 2:23,12 and in the 10km race was 1:2,30.

She finished second in the 21.1km race and the 10km race and first in the 42.2km race.

In the 42.2km Etienne Rossouw finished second among the men with a time of 3:27,32 and Shaun Stander finished third with a time of 3:28,24.

Jolene Carstens was the second woman to cross the finish line in the 42.2km race with a time of 4:39,3 and Daleen Joubert finished third with a time of 4:54,13.

Stander was the second man to cross the finish line in the 21.1km race with a time of 1:47,00 and Christopher Putter finished third with a time of 1:48,50.

Raynita Venter won the 21.1km race among the women with a time of 2:19,6 and Carstens finished third with a time of 2:28,42.

Putter finished second in the 10km race among the men with a time of 47 min 37 sec and Cornelius Verhoef finished third with a time of 50 minutes.

Venter won the 10km race as well with a time of 1:1,55 and Fia Coetzee finished third with a time of 1:8,27. Stander finished this race for the fifth time and Wilna Jordaan completed her 10th Kosmos 3-in-1 race.
