Lovedale Sports Management launched their basketball league at the Ermelo Sports Inn on Saturay, 16 February.
The Lovedale Basketball League is for senior men’s teams and consists of six teams from the Gert Sibande District and Nkangala District with games set to take place in different venues in both regions in the the next six months.
The team who wins the league will get a free affiliation in the Lovedale Basketball Tournament that takes place every year during November.
“I would like to thank the Msukaligwa Sport Council for allowing us to use the Ermelo Sports Inn on match day and we hope to expand the league in the near future so the junior teams can also participate,” Ms Mandisa Lovedale Mkhwanazi, the organiser, said.
