Second round of matches in the GS Volleyball League bring action at the Ermelo Sports Inn

Teams from all over the district converged at the Sports Inn with one goal in mind and that is get maximum points to climb up the league table.

The second round matches in the Gert Sibande Volleyball League took place at the Ermelo Sports Inn on Saturday, 13 October.

Teams from all over the district converged at the Sports Inn with one goal in mind and that is to get maximum points to climb up the log table.

After the weekend matches, the Oshoek Volleyball Club tops the log standings in the women’s division on 24 points.

Standerton’s Technotic follows closely with the same points and Ermelo’s Flamingos are in third place with 18 points.

In the men’s division, Standerton’s Techtonic tops the leader board with 30 points while the Oshoek Volleyball Club are in second place with 21 points.

The Eagles Volleyball Club rounds off the top three in the men’s division on 12 points.

The Flamingos Girls Volleyball Team is the only local side on show this season and they will have to pull up their socks to catch up with a determined Oshoek Volley Club, who are dominating both the women and men’s divisions.

The GS Volleyball League is in full swing with the next round of matches once again taking place at the Ermelo Sports Inn on Saturday, 10 November.
