Sasol 1 retains title as six a side cricket champs

Bethal Bears and Sasol 2 then faced each other in the play off for third and fourth position.

SECUNDA – The Sasol 1 Secunda cricket team has once again won the six-a-side cricket tournament held on Saturday, 29 September.

This tournament forms part of the Lake Umuzi Rainbow Sportfest.

Each match consisted of five overs on each side totalling 30 balls per team in one match. Each team also had six players.

Sasol 1 Secunda and Sasol 2 Bulldogs both won all three their matches to make it through to the semi-finals.

Sasol 1 beat the Bethal Bears in the semi-finals, while Sasol 2 lost their match against the Witbank Snipers.

Bethal Bears and Sasol 2 then faced each other in the play off for third and fourth position. Sasol 2 beat Bethal Bears in this match.

The reigning champs, Sasol 1, retained their title after beating the Witbank Snipers in the finals.
