Doctor surgically precise against tennis coach

The match was played in good spirit before Khumalo attended to the greenhorns attending his tennis class.

Mr Mathew Khumalo, director of the MK Tennis Academy, and Dr Nikola Batev faced off against each other in a tennis friendly the past weekend.

Dr Batev jokingly commented that the presence of the Standerton Advertiser played to his advantage.

This was evident as Batev, with surgical precision, returned the powerful backhands dished out by Khumalo.

Mathew’s love for tennis began at an early age while he was at primary school in Zimbabwe.

He left Zimbabwe and moved to South Africa and worked for a law firm based in Johannesburg in 1998, doing office work.
