The South African Western Mounted Games (SAWMGA) and the South African National Equestrian School Association (SANESA) held their fourth Western Mounted Games Qualifier on Saturday, 9 at the Ermelo showground.
The Western Mounted Games is an action packed, precision sport of the equestrian world.The five events that were selected for the qualifier in Ermelo, were keyhole, hurry scurry, quadrangle, bi-rangle and speed barrels.

In the SANESA Primary School Western Mounted Games division, Jo-Lienke van Rooyen from Laerskool JJ van der Merwe was crowned the level 0 champion, with Carla van der Walt on Chaka Zulu as the reserve champion.
In level 1, Mia van Aard on Buddy was crown the champion.
Juliette Guse on Captain Bythe was announced as the level 4 champion, with Inge van der Walt on Trevan Maluti as the reserve champion.
In the SANESA High School Western Mounted Games division, Walter van der Walt from Ermelo Hoërskool on Amigo was crowned as the level 5 champion and is the reserve champion with his horse Thokolosh.
Megan Louens from Ligbron Akademie vir Tegnologie on Scooby Doo Too was crowned as the level 7 champion and Tilanie Groenewald from Morgenzon Landbou Akademie on Gold Dust is the reserve champion.
In the SAWMGA Opens, Juliette Guse on Captain Bythe was annnnounced as the level 2 champion and Inge van der Walt on Trevan Maluti as the reserve champion.
The level 3 champion is Walter van der Walt on Amigo. Oubaas de Jager on Clever Shot was crowned as the level 4 champion and as the reserve on his horse Dana’s Girl.
In the veteran division is Oubaas de Jager on Clever Shot the champion and he is the reserve champion with his horse Dana’s Girl.
