Shalom Marathon Club runners get gold at various races over the weekend

Petros Ndlangamandla from the Shalom Marathon Club participated in the UNIWISP 50km Ultra Marathon in Mbombela on Saturday, 3 March.

The overall winner of the race was Nthuthuko Maseko from the Nedbank Athletic Club who finished in a time of 3:06,21.

Two other Shalom runners, Nomvula Mthethwa and Sithembile Maraga shined at the Bethal 10km night marathon that took place on Wednesday, 28 February.

Mthethwa was first in her category of 40 years old and upwards, bagging the gold medal in a time of 48:12,01.

Maraga improved on her personal best when she finished in a time of 1:10,40.
