Classic FC fights hard to beat Festive FC by 1-0

Classic, who came to the match second on the log, was eager to keep up with number one, Juventus FC.

Classic FC beat Festive FC 1 – 0 to stay second on the log at the Stanton Grounds on 17 February.

Classic was eager to keep up with number one, Juventus FC, and with the season nearing a close in a couple of months, neither team could afford to lose points.

Festive FC is sixth on the log.

The Standerton heat almost took its toll with sporadic water breaks and the match changed momentum every odd minute with each having the upper hand.

Goals seemed to elude both teams’ strikers in the first half. After player and coach, Mtune Tsotetsi, pulled strings in midfield, Classic FC began creating more chances only to fail.

“Whoever scores the first goal, will win the game,” a fan said during halftime.

Mtune continued where he left off in the first half with neat passes.
