The El-Shaddai Tabernacle Church Ermelo recently hosted their annual IPS golf competition at the Ermelo Country Club, attracting 48 players.

The El-Shaddai Tabernacle Church Ermelo recently hosted their annual IPS golf competition at the Ermelo Country Club, attracting 48 players.

The windy conditions tested the golfing skills of the players to the full, but most were able to play a good round of golf.

Winners on the day were Tollie Schoeman on 39 points followed by Eric Trouw in second place with 37 points on a count-out and Conrad Klopper in third place, also on 37 points. Nearest to the pin were Nicky Broodryk (on fourth), Wilmar Arnoldi (on sixth), Attie Prinsloo (on 14th) and Janneman Smit (on 16th).

On Saturday, an IPS Club game was played at the Ermelo Golf Course and attracted an entry of 47 players.

The game was played in a two-ball better-ball format and was keenly contested with the pair of Johan van Greunen and Yolanda van der Merwe declared the winners on 44 points after a count-out with second placed Philip Roux and Kobus Wentzel, also on 44 points.

Manna Smith and Tersia Kemp were placed third with a points tally of 43 and Phillip Roux and Dickie Kruger in fourth spot also on 43 points.
