eMba Muximum beats Evander FC

Mr Xaba said their game with Evander FC was one of the toughest.

KINROSS – The match between eMbalenhle Maximum and Evander FC saw Banele Bokhale of Muximum scoring the first goal in the first five minutes of the game.

The game was played on Saturday, 21 May and Evander FC dominated the first half of the match.

Xolani Ngwenya of Evander FC equalised by scoring a goal during the first half and the score was 1-1.

During the second half of the game, the right wing player of eMbalenhle Maximum, Xolani (Sxova) Manoi, did not waste time to score the second goal.

The unstoppable Sxova scored the third goal for eMbalenhle Maximum FC and the score was 3-1.

Just three minutes before the final whistle, eMbalenhle Maximum players were left vulnerable when one of their players sustained injuries and the replacement was looking for soccer boots, when Lungisa Ngqobo of Evander FC scored the second goal.

The final score was eMbalenhle Maximum 3-2 in favour of eMba.

Two yellow cards were given out during the match, one for Patrick Khumalo and the other for Bongani Ndlovu, both eMbalenhle Maximum players.

The Evander FC coach, Mr Thapelo Mophosho, said they lost many opportunities during the first half.

Mr Nicky Xaba, Evander FC coach, said it was a tough game.

“Out of all eleven games we have played this year, this was the toughest one.”

He further said his players are under-resourced because some do not have soccer boots and they also practice on dusty grounds.
