Secunda employees win 4-2
Secunda employees battle it out for cash prizes and trophy.
SECUNDA – Management of Bathusi Staffing Services believe in supporting the talents of its clients to encourage team building.
They hosted a soccer tournament for employees of SGB-Cape at the Lilian Ngoyi Stadium on Sunday afternoon, 20 July.
The employees divided themselves according to the colours of the kit, namely green and black.
It was a rather slow beginning with neither side venturing too far forward in their attack.
Both clubs struggled to keep possession of the ball early on and squandered possession with some poor passing.
The game sprang into life in the second half and Sifiso Zikode gave the black team the lead when he fired a shot inside the penalty area.
The green team continued to push forward and their effort was rewarded when Abel Modakana scored.
The match ended in a 1-all draw and the black team beat the green team 4-2 on penalties.
The black team won a trophy, R2 000 and gold medals and the green team received silver medals.
