Secunda Stars eye top eight finish

Management says club will fight for promotion next season.

eMBALENHLE – Secunda Stars FC management is confident the club can secure a top eight finish in the Safa Second Division League, formerly known as the Vodacom Promotional League.

Mr Sipho Sibeko, public relations officer, said they have few remaining matches left and want to perform better.

He admitted they did not have the good start they would have wanted because they have lost many points.

Mr Sibeko said this was because they have been recruiting players since the club has been under a new management with Mr Fanyana Sibanyoni as the chairman.

“This is our first season in this division and the management will work hard, prepare for the next season and fight for promotion.”

The division is contested by 17 clubs in Mpumalanga and is expected to end next month.

Phiva Young Stars FC Driekoppies are currently leading the league.
