The Levay’s Easter Tournament recently kicked off at the Show Grounds.
Mr Levay Molefe, local businessman, sponsored the tournament.
According to Mr Molefe, this is his way of ploughing back into the community.
The municipal council also supported the tournament as they spent the whole day watching the matches.
Mr Sipho Mkwanazi, spokesman of the Lekwa Municipality, said it was good what the organisers did.
He also said the Sakhile Stadium will officially open on 29 April.
The semi-finals were between Lekwa vs DCS and SuperSpar vs Noble.
Lekwa drew 1-1 against DCS and the final score after penalties was Lekwa winning 5-3.
Super Spar beat beat Noble 6-1.
The final was between Lekwa and SuperSpar.
The match ended in 2-2 draw and on penalties, Lekwa beat SuperSpar 4-2.
The U/19 final was between Blue Cranes FC against Classic FC.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
On penalties, Blue Cranes FC beat Classic FC 3-1.
The recent results of the Industrial League are:
SADTU beat GS College 2-0, SuperSpar beat Lekwa 6-2 and the match between SAPS and Noble was postponed.
