Letter of thanks

Ms Michelle Viljoen thanks the Govan Mbeki Municipality.

Bethal and his residents again experienced first hand the trial and tribulation of sitting in the dark for nearly a week.

As PR councillor appointed to assist the residents of Bethal, it was heart warming to see how people could care for one another in tough times and help me to get the electrical problems sorted out.

First I would like to thank Elzaan Pienaar, journalist from Echo/Ridge.

When I call, she answers and she attend to each and every notification to get the message out there for all to know what is happening in Bethal.

To the Speaker of the Govan Mbeki Municipal, Mr Cyril Gwiji, I would like to thank him for his personal intervention in Bethal’s electricity problems in the past few days, this is highly appreciated.

Mainly I just need feedback and information as PR councillor from the officials attending to the technical problems concerning Bethal so I can keep the community informed.

Therefore I would also like to thank the following Council office bearers for feedback via SMSs during this difficult time regarding power break downs: Messrs Bheki Kubeka and Mr Freddy Nkambule .

Then lastly but surely not the least, the electricians of Bethal who are working non stop on all the complaints and sometimes under difficult circumstances.

I would also like to thank Ward councillor Ms Ena van Rooyen for all her input and help.

We as a community love Bethal and will help and fight to get Bethal back to its former glory.

Keeping in mind that the rainy season is upon us, I would like to asked Govan Mbeki Municipality to continue fixing the electrical problems.

Together we can work to achieve a better living condition for all.

Michelle Viljoen, DA PR Councillor, Bethal.
