Motorcycle club hosts launch and charity drive in eMbalenhle

The Guardians’ president, Chris Hlase, said the event showcased the strength of unity, compassion and the power of giving back.

Bikers from all over graced the launch of the Guardians Motorcycle Club at Raisibe Gardens in eMbalenhle on September 7.
The club used the launch to collect school shoes and other items for disadvantaged learners at local schools.
The event began with a moment of silence to remember fellow rider Aphumelele Matolo (25), who died in an accident on July 13 while on her way home from a Crusaders Motorcycle Club event held at the Umuzi Lodge.
She collided with a vehicle near the Sasol filling station opposite the Secunda Mall.
The bikers then did a mass ride to donate school shoes and bags to Zamokuhle Primary School and Isibani Sezwe Combined School.
The Guardians’ president, Chris Hlase, said the event showcased the strength of unity, compassion and the power of giving back.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to everyone who made this event a resounding success. First and foremost, I sincerely appreciate the bikers who joined us from near and far. Your commitment to supporting our cause reflects the heart of the biking community – one that is always willing to rally together for the greater good. Seeing so many riders united for a noble cause was truly inspiring.”
Hlase also thanked the two schools’ teachers and parents for their dedication to the children and willingness to support the event.
“The kids, who are the beneficiaries of our efforts, are so fortunate to have such dedicated and caring educators and parents in their corner.”
Hlase thanked the stakeholders and sponsors for helping to make a lasting impact on the lives of many.
“To the entire community, thank you for your unwavering support. You came out in numbers and made this event one to remember. This spirit of togetherness reminds us why we do what we do.
“Guardians MCC is proud to serve and uplift our community, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support. Together, we can change lives and build a brighter future.”
Hlase invited businesses and anyone wanting to partner with the club for a charity event to call him on 061 429 7832.
