Bronkhorstspruit CPF prepares for their Christmas Drive
The drive will begin at 14:00 with the Fire Brigade vehicle behind SAPS and the Metro and SAPS also bringing up the rear.
The Sector 1 CPF will be having their Christmas Drive on 15 December with the support of the Bronkhorstspruit Police, Fire Brigade and the TMPD.
Sector 1 includes Masada, Cultura Park, Versterpark, Riamarpark, Bester and Erasmus.
The drive will begin at 14:00 with the Fire Brigade vehicle behind SAPS and the Metro and SAPS also bringing up the rear.
A long trailer will have numerous members assisting “Father Christmas” in distributing sweets packages to the children of Sector 1.
Mias Fondse of the Bronkhorstspruit CPF said, “The Sector has even bigger plans for next year.”
“We will once again be looking at the businesses in Bronkhorstspruit to help provide sweets for an even bigger area so that the children of Region 7 can all receive a small token from the CPF.”
The CPF members are often some of the first people to arrive at a crime scene. For them to better support the SAPS in their fight against crime, the forum needs more members and also specific equipment.
“Currently, the CPF does not have identifying clothes, cards, or tape to cordon off areas. Due to the lack of identification, many citizens ignore the efforts of CPF members to control crime scenes. There is a current project underway to provide reflective jackets to all the CPF members in Region 7, but more sponsors are required to achieve this objective.”

The CPF advises all Bronkhorstspruit residents to abstain from taking photos of crime scenes and distributing them on social media as this is contra-productive to the efforts of the police.
