Masada elects CPF

The Masada Community Policing Forum (CPF) sub-sector’s newly elected executive committee members were appointed.

The Masada Community Policing Forum (CPF) sub-sector’s new executive committee (exco) members were elected on November 25. Young and inexperienced and older more experienced members were chosen.

Bronkhorstspruit station commander Colonel Maqhawe Simon Dhladla said, “I hope this new team will now lead the sub-sector to great heights.

“Members must remember they are now partners of the police and are like a family.”

He asked the members to focus on street patrols because most members know each other in their streets and will notice strange members and vehicles.

Dhladhla said the community must know members are vigilant. He also asked them to respect the constitutional rights of the people. Dhladhla concluded, saying they can liaise with him and his team at the police station at any time.

The chairperson of the Bronkhorstspruit CPF, November Mbonani, congratulated the members and asked them to be active in their role as CPF members.

Mbonani also reminded them that the festive season is upon them, and they have only a few days to prepare themselves.

He also said he is pleased that young people are stepping forward to join the CPF. The Bronkhorstspruit Sector 1 chairperson, Mark Niemand, congratulated the members and wished them success.

He also said Sector 1 is available to help with any knowledge or advice whenever they encounter a problem.

The newly elected members for the Masada CPF are Carl Lee (chairperson), Beverley Oosthuizen (deputy chairperson), Denise Herbst (secretary), Dan Mahlangu (deputy secretary), Sicelo Motha (additional member) and Klaas Magoro (additional member).
