Sikobi first appeared in court on September 22 and the case was postponed to October 4 for a formal bail application.

The magistrate asked the investigating officer, Sergeant Hezekiel Malapela, what was happening to the other cases from KZN, to which Malapela explained the KZN police wanted all the cases to be transferred to the Evander Magistrate’s Court.

The magistrate said they needed authorisation to centralise all the cases. Sikobi was denied bail on October 9 and the case was referred to the regional court.

It has now been postponed to November 27 for him to consult with his legal aid attorney.
