Eldamah in Delmas celebrate spring with a Carnival Festival

The festive atmosphere for their Spring Carnival day was set with flags, ribbons hanging from the trees and laughter and joyful music followed soon.

It was the first day of spring and the staff of Eldamah Academy in Delmas was out and about in the early hours of the morning.

The carnival was officially opened at 11:00 and started off with a puppet show for the little ones. The Mr and Miss Eldamah Academy, junior and senior followed.

Next on the agenda were the pom-pom dances. According to the principal, Wilna Joubert, the highlight of the day was a visit from the Barbarians for Christ.

“Old and young enjoyed their physical strength, but most of all their spiritual strength accompanied by an awesome message and testimonies,” said Joubert.

She said Spring Day 2023 exceeded all expectations.

“Watch this space for Spring Day 2024,” she concluded.
