Teacher from eMbalenhle hopes book has positive effect

Dr Phetla said mainstream education in high schools and tertiary institutions could produce job creators, problem solvers and opportunity supporters.

The principal of Lifalethu Primary School, Pat Kolobe, and Doctor Boitumelo Phetla were part of the 32 professionals and entrepreneurs who produced a book called Real Life and Business Minds.

The book is about the diverse knowledge and life experiences of its authors. Kolobe decided to join the 32 authors in writing about reality in an autobiography rather than a biography.

“I was recruited by Doctor Phetla to be part of the authors when she was at the school to assist our learners with health issues.

“At first, it was difficult to accept, but after her motivation, I decided to participate and impute in the development of our society.

Pat Kolobe is one of the 32 authors of the book, Real Life and Business Minds.

“Our community should know purchasing this book will not only help them realise their potential, but the money will also assist in community development programmes.

“Schools, employees, foundations, elderly centres and other community facilities can greatly benefit from the book,” said Kolobe.

Phetla said mainstream education in high schools and tertiary institutions could produce job creators, problem solvers and opportunity supporters.

“We have successfully demonstrated by publishing the book some soft skills. All the authors are leaders in their own right and were able to individually submit themselves to a collective project for the greater benefit of the reader, country and the world.

“As authors, we have illustrated the soft skills of collaboration, problem-solving, communication, decision-making, planning, organising, innovation and enterprise solutions,” said Phetla.

Phetla said the book also offered the high school learner access to limitless career guidance from diverse professions and mentorship from a vast pool of merited mentors.

It also gave any graduate, whether employed or unemployed, the chance to reimagine their abilities towards their personal and economic advancement.

Phetla said the book also instilled passion and inspiration within leaders to drive valuable outcomes in the workplace, their personal lives, and the communities they serve.
