Police find two dead men on one night in eMbalenhle

The other man was declared dead by medical personnel and the other one was treated for the injury.

A man was shot dead and another one wounded in an argument among three men in Ext 22, eMbalenhle, on April 29.

According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle police spokesperson, the three men were arguing when one allegedly shot at one of the other two.

The bullet ripped through the shoulder of one man and hit the surviving man in his left eye.

Mthethwa said the police arrived on the scene to find the suspect lying on the ground. He had been assaulted. It is unknown who assaulted him.

An ambulance transported him to the Evander Hospital. Medical personnel declared dead one of the men who were shot, and the third man was treated for his injury.

Mthethwa said they opened a murder and an attempted murder case against the suspect, who is in hospital under police guard.

In an unrelated incident, the police, also on April 29, found another dead man in a field in Ext 14. He had four open stab wounds on his head and a swollen left eye. His body was covered with bruises.

According to Mthethwa, a case of murder was opened, and they have made no arrests yet.
