Dead man found without fingers in eMbalenhle

Mthethwa said the medical personnel on the scene declared the man dead and the reason for his death was unknown.

The body of a man was found next to the Ext 14 clinic on April 24.

According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle police spokesperson, community members alerted the police after finding the body.

Mthethwa said the fingers on both hands were missing.

She said medical personnel on the scene declared the man dead. The cause of death is unknown.

The police opened an inquest docket that may change to murder if the investigation finds a crime had been committed.

Mthethwa also said anyone with information to report it at the police station.
