Robbers target man at home in eMbalenhle
When the victim refused to open the door, the suspect told him to give him his cellphone through the window.
Robbers wearing balaclavas robbed a man at gunpoint inside his house in Ext 7, eMbalenhle.
According to Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle police spokesperson, a knock on a window awoke the sleeping victim.
Mthethwa said an unknown man pointed a gun at the victim through the window and instructed him to open the door.
When the victim refused, the robber demanded the victim’s cellphone. Just then, another robber forced his way into the home.
The victim was robbed of R700 before fleeing.
Mthethwa said a case of armed robbery was opened, and that no arrests were made.
