The neighbours who found the body and called the police said the curtains in the room where she was found were bloodied.

The community suspects Khumalo was killed with a hammer.

The court gallery was full last week with community members who do not want the suspect released.

The suspect’s name is being withheld to protect the victim’s identity in a pending rape case related to Khumalo’s murder.
