Highveld Ridge SPCA hosts sterilisation drive

Animal welfare organisation urges people to get pets spayed.

The Highveld Ridge SPCA hosted a sterilisation drive in the beginning of March.

With the help of sponsors, including Viv Elliot of SAINTS Animal Charity organisation, Mandy Lu of Let’s Spay #SA and local veterinarians, Bethal Animal Clinic, Vetcross Eendedam Animal Clinic and Evander Vet, the SPCA managed to get 120 cats and dogs sterilised.

The aim of this drive was to urge pet owners to get their animals sterilised and to highlight the importance of sterilisation to limit overpopulation.

The SPCA is committed in helping the community to practice responsible pet ownership.

If you need information or help with getting your pets sterilised, send an e-mail to the SPCA to info@hrspca.co.za or contact 082 869 2350.

The Highveld Ridge SPCA is planning on hosting another sterilisation drive later this year.
