Potholes in Kriel-Bethal road claim two trucks in two days

The driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bethal Hospital.

Massive potholes in the road between Bethal and Kriel are said to be the reason why two trucks veered off the tar and crashed within a day of each other.

The accident with the first truck happened on Thursday night, February 16, close to a dentist’s practice on a farm about 3km from Bethal.

The second accident happened at the exact same spot at noon the following day (Friday February 17).

This truck crashed into trees on the side of the road.

The driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Bethal Hospital.

Bethal EMS and ER24 ambulance services were on the scene.
