Trichardt CPF invites people to public meeting

Trichardt Police gets new phone number.

The telephone number at Trichardt SAPS changed to 017 631 8163 or 082 594 2469.

Trichardt Police’s old number was no longer working during load-shedding times, but now residents would be able to reach the police even when it is load-shedding.

Clarke van der Walt, chairperson of the Trichardt CPF, invited residents to attend the CPF’s next public meeting that will take place in February.

Trichardt CPF already obtained permission from the Govan Mbeki Municipality to erect sign boards in Trichardt that trucks weighing more than five tons will not be allowed to use certain roads in town.

These roads include Vincent Tshabalala Drive, Rapportryer Street, Jansen Street and Grey Street.

The CPF is also planning on erecting sign boards at certain points in Trichardt, informing truck drivers that they are not allowed to be in Trichardt between 20:00 and 06:00.

Other points that will be discussed at the public meeting in February are the street light project that the CPF launched already, potholes and a crime overview of Trichardt.
