TP Stratten Primary School in Evander ends hockey season on a high note

The slogan for the coaches was “against all odds”.

EVANDER – TP Stratten’s boys and girls shined in this year’s hockey season. This year’s highlight was the first team hockey boys, who participated in the North West Schools Hockey Challenge at the end of September.

They walked away with three wins from four matches played. They came second in the Champs of Champs that was played in October.

They also took a victorious first place in the school’s raging league and were first at the provincial play-offs in Nelspruit during September. For the first time in TP Stratten’s history, the first-team hockey girls were placed sixth in Mpumalanga.

The U/12’s boys hockey competed at the top 12 play-offs in Nelspruit and were placed second in Mpumalanga.

These achievements were made possible through the dedication of TP Stratten’s coaches.

The school thanked the management and sponsors for their support. Without them, this achievement would not have been possible.

Coach Mdlalose said “God is with us as a school. This is wow, this was something that we never expected. If you want to win you must play like a champion, think like a champion, and act like a champion. Everything about you must say you are a champion.”

The school’s slogan was “against all odds.” Coach Mofokeng said the secret to their victory was through praying and having God as the head coach.
