Four armed robberies on the N12 between the Bapsfontein and Bronkhorstspruit off-ramps on Friday night saw one victim survive a gunshot wound to the head.
A video shows the manhunt by police in a race against time while more and more incidents are reported.
Armed robbers placed big rocks in the road and hid in a nearby mielie field to pounce on unsuspecting motorists brought to a standstill due to damage to their vehicles.
