Standerton SAPS raise awareness of commercial crimes

The Standerton SAPS took to the streets on September 20 to inform the community about ATM safety.

The Standerton SAPS took to the streets for community outreach in the CBD and hotspot areas on September 20.

“The purpose was to create awareness about commercial crimes, such as fraud and general theft,” explained Constable Vic Juries, the sector manager of rural safety.

The officers distributed pamphlets at commercial banks, sharing tips about ATM safety, and gave the community others with helpful information on sexual abuse.

The community was delighted by this initiative and the police visibility through foot patrols.
