Lekwa Local Municipality Mayor Louis Thabethe recently announced changes to his mayoral committee.
The former MMC for Technical Services, Sipho Majosi, was elected speaker of the council, leaving this position vacant.
The committee used this opportunity to identify and consolidate the departments’ strengths to improve service delivery.
Thabo Sebiloane was appointed the MMC for Technical Services, Seipati Modise is now the MMC for Planning and Economic Development, and Corné Stoltz takes the MMC for Community Services and Safety role.
Pindile Mahlaba will continue as the MMC for Corporate Services.
“I wish the MMCs well in their new responsibilities. In them, I believe we have a strong and dedicated team. Together, we will continue to serve our community,” concluded Thabethe.
