Lekwa gets first fire app
The app will allow members to locate fires and deploy teams to help extinguish fires faster.
The Fire Protection Agency (FPA) recently launched its new app, Lekwa FPA, available on Google Play store and the Apple App Store.
The Lekwa FPA is the first and only fire association in South Africa to have its app.
This app marks a new era for the FPA and fire safety in our community. Certain aspects of the app are still under construction, such as the fire permit system.
The permit system will contain forms needed to apply for a fire permit and ease the process.
“The focus is communication,” said Frans-Awie Vermaak from Lekwa FPA.
The app will allow members to locate fires and deploy teams to help extinguish fires faster.
Thus far, the Lekwa FPA has received positive comments regarding how easy the app is to use.
