Athletes enjoy Secunda Parkrun

The Secunda Parkrun had 182 parkrunners walk or run the parkrun event 418 on August 17.

First timers Corné Nel, Thabiso Molefe, Sguda Sibande, Benjamin Oosthuysen, Coenie Oosthuysen, Tiaan Snyman, Jasmine Botha, Anna-Mare Hewetson, Marlizé de Cruz, Sam Botha, Ronel Coetzer, Maryke Coetzer, Johan Coetzer, Lourens Coetzer, Nontuthuko Hlengwa, Billy Masuku, Marchall Vosser and Denzel Geel were welcomed to the parkrun family.

The parkrunners who ran their personal best times include Gideon Adendorf (13 parkruns 21:54), Lourandt Pepler (four parkruns 25:07), Werner de la Guerre (43 parkruns 25:15), Riaan Weideman (18 parkruns 26:53), Andrew Henry (nine parkruns 29:13), Kyla Lottering (four parkruns 30:33), Adri Potgieter (six parkruns 31:49), Logan Potgieter (three parkruns 31:50), Shirley Dlamini (seven parkruns 33:14), Colette de Clercq (21 parkruns 33:19), Msindo Mathebula (26 parkruns 34:56), Tavish Dangar (40 parkruns 35:05), Haley Collins (three parkruns 36:14), Anene van Loggerenberg (18 parkruns 36:46), Xander van Rooyen (two parkruns 38:20), Naledi Katsane (two parkruns 38:44), Ledile Mathipa (three parkruns 40:19), Hettie Glen (29 parkruns 42:08), Cornelia van Rooyen (three parkruns 46:05), Louise du Plessis (two parkruns 46:43), Liana van der Linde (28 parkruns 47:56), Olivia Coleman (seven parkruns 48:27), Amilia Viljoen (seven parkruns), Carin Du Plooy (14 parkruns 53:10), Debbie Schubach (two parkruns 54:12) and Hailey Botha (two parkruns 55:13).

The first three women to finish were Emilia Le Roux, Kyla Lottering and Adri Potgieter. Gideon Adendorff, Esihle Ndlovu and Barry Visagie were the first three men to cross the finish line.

Leopold Middelberg (83) was the oldest man to complete the parkrun with 122 parkruns under his belt and Johanna Van Tonder (79) was the oldest woman parkrunner and completed her 222nd parkrun.
