“We are highly respected because of his initiatives. Today, we have a bakery. We have an electrical section that is rated among the best in the country. Our officials and offenders will benefit because they have skill development training in catering, electricity and welding,” said Mashaba.

Mashaba mentioned that through Zulu’s efforts, the management area has signed memorandums of understanding with numerous stakeholders, including higher education institutions to ensure that the department acquires skill development programmes that enable offenders to obtain accredited qualifications when released from the correctional centres.

In response, Zulu encouraged the audience to keep their relations intact with God and emphasised the importance of sharing unconditional and fraternal love among the officials.

“The secret of everything, including, diligence and sacrifices, comes from God. I do not want to take credit or glory because I owe it to Him. All ideas come from him as I always pray for wisdom and guidance from him,” concluded Zulu.
