Secunda business sponsors water tanks to six schools

Project focuses on needs of less fortunate children.

Several schools benefitted from the ISUZU Foundation’s latest project, Water for Schools.

The foundation launched this project in conjunction with Westvaal Secunda Motors and the Tree-Seeds to sponsor 10 water tanks to six schools and officially handed the tanks over on July 24.

Learners, teachers and principals from Highveld Christian College, Highveld Park High School, Highveld Ridge Primary School, TP Stratten Primary School, Allan Makunga Primary School and Lifalethu Primary School were the recipients of these water tanks.

The foundation’s representatives and other stakeholders urged the schools to take good care of the sponsorship.

Highveld Ridge Primary School received a water tank donated by the ISUZU Foundation Water for Schools Project and Westvaal Secunda Motors.

The project began with the Light Bearer project, the brainchild of Liné de Vries and Karin Strydom. They are also the founders of the NPC, Tree-Seeds.

“Tree-Seeds is an initiative for networking with businesses, focusing on the needs of schools,” said De Vries.

“We try to facilitate help for the school, not in the form of money, but of physical items or equipment and make sure that it goes to the right places, to children in need.”

De Vries and Strydom network between the schools and sponsors the admin.
