West FC wins soccer tournament

West FC won 3-1 against Tsunami FC in the anti-drugs campaign soccer tournament held at eMbalenhle in Ext 18 on July 21.

The tournament, named the Mangethe Rise Tournament, was organised by Themba Zwane.

“According to Zwane, the tournament aims to fight drug abuse and crime and ease depression among unemployed people in the community.

“Our youth use drugs because of the many challenges they face, including being unemployed. As a community, we cannot fold our arms. We need to do something to fight this,” said Zwane.
