Standerton parkrun sees personal best records set

Those interested are welcome to register and join next Standerton Parkrun.

The 255th weekly parkrun saw great excitement from the eager runners. Five of the 57 athletes who participated set new personal best (PB) records, and there was one first-timer.

Timothy Hoop was the first to cross the finish line (23:03), followed by Mthokozisi Sehbiko (23:04).
Sehbiko set a new PB time.

Andiswamahlubi Hadebe finished at 24:56, followed by Michelle Riekert (25:03), Parth Jayram (25:49) and Eugene Viljoen (26:08).

Elmen Vermaak set a new PB time when he completed the 5km in 31:42, followed by Frans Vermaak, who finished in 31:42.

The volunteers who made this event possible were Charl van Wyk, Johannes Vosloo, Leandri van Wyk, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lorinda Smith, Lydia Roets, Renette da Sousa, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sonja Fouche, Sylvy Moodley and Zeldine Strydom.

The Standerton parkrun takes place every Saturday at 08:00 at the Standerton Riverpark. Newcomers are welcome to register online and participate in the next parkrun.
