More employees arrested at filling station in Standerton

The employees appeared in court on July 8 and were granted bail.

The police arrested five Sasol Junxion filling station employees on July 5, following allegations of theft in vouchers and airtime to the value of R300 000.

According to police reports, an investigation followed the arrest of another employee several months earlier.

The SAPS classified this crime as a syndicate theft. The employees appeared in court on July 8 and were granted bail.

The company could not provide official comment at the time of going to print, however, they did clarify that the first arrest was late last year and the suspect was accused of stealing Hollywood Bets vouchers worth R300 000.
