Parkrunners of Bronkhorstpruit are out of the blocks
The parkrun held at Bronkhorstspruit Dam keeps residents in shape and it is run by young and old.
Bronkhorstspruit hosted its 192nd parkrun on June 29 at Bronkhorstspruit Dam. The total number of people who participated was 33.
The first to finish was Sue-Marie Oosthuysen with a time of 24:35, followed by Machallan D’abreu (32:03), Riaan Oosthuysen (32:40), Triniti Scholtz (33:34), Petro Jordaan (34:30), Ryno Opperman (35:34), Len Rossi Marx (37:03), Emma Koekemoer (37:35), and in 10th place was Monica-Celeste Louise Rumboll with a time of 37:46.
The volunteers who made this parkrun possible were André de Lange, Lelani de Lange, Moonilal Dunmun, Gonasagree Govender, Amisha Rampersadh, Bhavna Rampersadh, Despina Rockas, Filia Rockas and Casper Strydom.
The next parkrun will be on July 6 at the Bronkhorstspruit Dam. People are encouraged to become active by running, jogging, walking and volunteering in the parkrun.
Taking part is easy – a person registers online before your first parkrun, and when registered, you can participate in the parkrun weekly.
Participants every week, grab a post-parkrun coffee at Bronkiesbaai Restaurant or Art Café @ Anton Smit.
