The Khululua Animal Welfare Society, which will be taking over the Highveld Ridge SPCA premises, has issued a wish list of supplies and support still needed to get the facility in running order.
Kennels wish list: Tiles and cement, paint, roofing sheets, bowls and bowl holders, mesh roofing, plastic crates/beds, around 50 wooden pallets, pallet size conveyor strips, squeegee brooms, outdoor brooms and mops.
Outside maintenance wish list: Lawnmower, weed eater, outside paint, shade netting, four industrial hosepipes, gardening tools such as spades, rakes and shovels, wheelie bins, fencing and wheelbarrows.
Office space wish list: Filing cabinets and files, stationery, clipboards, curtains for office windows, printers and printing cartridges, laptops, dustbins, office chairs, office desks, shelves, storage containers, whiteboards and pinboards.
Kitchen wish list: Fridge, microwave, large and small deep freeze, kettle and mugs, plates and glasses, bowls and cutlery, Tupperware, sugar, milk, coffee, tea, buckets, cleaning cloths, broom set and cleaning detergents.
Operational wish list one: Washing machines, washing powder, black bags, personal protective gear (gumboots, overalls, safety boots, gloves), pine gel and dish liquid, handy andy and thin bleach, jumbo paper towels, power leads and multi plugs.
Operational wish list two: Operational vehicle, petrol allowance, outside seating/seats, big storage containers (for food storage), rubber flooring for office floor, outside lighting, door replacements, replacements for office, broken windows and gutters, gates and installation and help with the plumbing system.
